Keep your weight down

Make exercise a routine

Even moderate-intensity aerobic exercise at least 2 hours per week, or aerobic exercise for 1 hour and 15 minutes per week can show great benefits. A brisk walk can help also, anything that makes your heart beat faster and uses more oxygen is helpful.
Limiting alcohol
Drinking too much alcohol can raise your blood pressure. It also adds extra calories, which may cause weight gain. Men should have no more than two drinks per day, and women only one.
Avoid nicotine
Cigarette smoking raises your blood pressure and puts you at higher risk for heart attack and stroke. If you do not smoke, don’t start. If you do smoke, let us know. We can help with that!
